REYNAERS CP 68 sliding system
With the new REYNAERS SlimPatio 68 product, Reynaers Aluminium offers innovative solutions for sliding glass walls that not only provide improved transparency, but also excellent resistance to wind load and excellent air and water tightness.
Reynaers Aluminium, a leading European developer and supplier of sustainable architectural aluminium solutions, has launched its new SlimPatio 68 sliding element, which extends panoramic views through creative design solutions. The elegant, clean design with a concealed frame provides greater wind resistance through improved sealing technology and delivers maximum comfort. This new product, whose first project installation was the Ithaafushi project in the Maldives, offers a significantly increased glazed area, providing unlimited panoramic views while reducing the visible aluminium contours to a minimum. It is based on its market-proven predecessor, the CP 50, whose load-bearing profiles with visible widths of 110 and 102 mm have been reduced to just 34 mm! This effect is complemented by the attractive design and by the fact that the frame is concealed in the wall cavities, offering an elegant, symmetrical appearance at a competitive price. A handle is built into the profile along its entire height, so that the slim lines of the frame remain undisturbed.
ENSURING COMFORT AND SAFETY In addition to the aesthetic value of the expanded view, SlimPatio 68 also stands out for its comfort and safety. Excellent thermal insulation has been achieved, as well as superior results in the tests for wind load resistance, air tightness and water tightness (AWW tests):
Air permeability - 4 (600 Pa) Water tightness - 8A (450 Pa) Wind resistance - B5 (2000 Pa) REYNAERS SlimPatio 68 with reinforced profiles can withstand wind loads of up to 2000 Pa, which makes this solution ideal for locations exposed to harsh climatic conditions, such as coastal areas and tall buildings. Like the CP 68, the SlimPatio 68 solution offers a wide variety of options, ranging from single-track to two- and three-track solutions, which make it possible to create much wider openings where required. The variety of combinations of fixed and sliding elements gives architects and designers creative freedom. This also includes a concealed "pocket" solution, in which the opening sashes disappear into the wall. The sliding sashes can reach a width of 2700 mm and a maximum weight of 250 kg, compared with more than 200 kg and 2500 mm for the standard CP 68.
